Should maintenance needs arise, Teavana purchased DigiPoS First Aid Kits, on-site replacement kits that provide the components necessary to help get retailers back up and running with little or no impact on the customer experience. The retailer chose DigiPoS Retail Blade 3 (RB3) as its POS terminals, because the RB3 includes dual core hard drives and a modular architecture, which requires minimal IT maintenance. Here's the catch - the terminals had to require minimal IT intervention and include the necessary processing speed to accommodate the retailer's POS software, Celerant Command Retail.
